being developed because various members of our club, The MacKenzie Park
Lawn Bowls Club, thought that it might be a good way to let folks know
about the sport of lawn bowling and that there is a club right here in
beautiful Santa Barbara where lawn bowling is being played almost everyday
of the week, all year long.
Also, although we put up banners
and send out brochures, a web site seems to be an efficient way to pass
along information designed to generate new members. |

Equally
important is the ability to keep our members informed of the many activities,
club tournaments, regional lawn bowling events as well as our monthly newsletter
and calendar of events.
If done correctly it can also be
used as a training tool, a rules guide and serve as a ready to use archive
for the organization.

links which you may click on. They will take you to other pages of
our site.
The photos on this page are of our
club house and grounds. We believe that our setting on the edge of
the Samarkand neighborhood in Santa Barbara is wonderful.

There are
two bowling greens, each containing nine rinks. The view north across
the greens includes a backdrop of the Santa Ynez mountains and its foothills.
These greens were established in 1965 when the club was formed and have
been active ever since.
