 OK.
This is the start of our Great Race adventure if anyone is out there looking
and cares. This morning John Horen, Jerry Pfitzinger, his brother
Dave and I loaded up the car on the trailer behind Jerry's van and with
a minimum of hoopla, took a couple of pictures and were on our way.
I have posted a picture of John and me standing in front of the car that
is perched on the trailer. Only one picture since the others
were even scarier than this one. As you can see, we are wearing our
hats that say Blue Moon Racing. Neither of us is used to wearing
a hat of this type so we look like a couple of unhappy dorks getting ready
for a day out. That's John on the left.
But regardless
of that, this was not a very exciting day except to say that we had some
stimulating stories and a good meal at the Cracker Barrel and now we are
in a hotel...The Royal Inn, and the name is not really appropriate, in
Desoto, Texas. This puts us about 300 miles from San Antonio and
we plan to get up and get underway by 7:30. Tomorrow will be more
interesting I am sure as we undergo tech inspection and registration and
get ourselves oriented to the town. Good Night from here for now.
