In 1950, anxious to get out of high school and on with my life, I entered an accelerated program that was designed so that I could take all my high school requirement, for my junior and senior year, in one year and finish in 1951.  It was a tough year because the required subjects for both years had to be taken, and I was also working to support myself.  In June I got my diploma and in August of 1951 I joined the US Navy and went off to see the world.  The class of '52, I later discovered, still considered me a part of their class and I was included in the yearbook.  My copy of the yearbook was circulated by my classmates and sent to me just before their graduation.

Now, fast forward almost 50 years to January 25, 2002.  I start my computer and among my email is one from Margaret German.  Curious I opened it and discovered it was from Radnor High classmate, Peg (Merrick) German.  She said that she and others in the class had been looking for me for years and now the organizing committee was putting the initial touches on the plans for the 50th reunion celebration and would I please get in touch.  I was thrilled.  So I wrote back and started a dialog with Peg and several other classmates.  I would like to say this culminated in my attending the reunion, but it was not to be.  A partner and I had been planning for over a year to take part in an event that conflicted exactly with the reunion dates.  I was disappointed, but at the same time very pleased that because of Pegs efforts I had reestablished a relationship with this wonderful group of folks.

I decided to put these Radnor High Alumni web pages together because I was sent photos of the 40th reunion by Barbara Pearson Wolf.  Since I had to return them, I ran them through my scanner and put them in my computer.  I then decided to organize them into a web page and post to my web site.  I did the same for the 50th reunion and for an alumni brunch held by Ted and Cathy Black Miller.  What you see below is the results.  Where it goes from here, I just don't know, but I will take suggestions.

Enjoy!

Radnor High School Class of 1952 40th Reunion.
These pictures were lent to me by my classmate, Barbara (Pearson) Wolf.  I digitally scanned them and developed this web page.  Using her notes and my old class year book, I have attempted to identify those on the photos.  If I have it wrong, please let me know.
